Key Responsibilities

  • •Own political contributions preclearance end to end: intake, covered-persons register, jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction pay-to-play screening, recordkeeping, and reconciliation.
  • •Support corporate PAC compliance operations, including restricted-class eligibility controls, solicitation review workflow, FEC reporting oversight, and reconciliations.
  • •Maintain corporate political giving log and vetting workflow for candidate/committee/527/c4 contributions and integrate pay-to-play triggers into contract intake for public-sector deals.
  • •Depending on scope, support lobbying compliance oversight by tracking registrations, deadlines, and filing status and coordinating outside firms that prepare filings.
  • •Manage outside political law counsel and compliance vendors (scoping, inputs, quality, timeliness, budget) and run gifts/hospitality and conflicts reviews, including training and AI-assisted intake/screening improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on ownership of political law compliance programs, including corporate PAC/campaign finance, pay-to-play preclearance, covered-person tracking, lobbying registration/reporting, and government gift and ethics rules (or a closely comparable multi-jurisdiction regulatory program).
  • •Experience building compliance programs by designing workflows, registers, filing calendars, and controls from scratch or through major redesign.
  • •Fluent enough to perform the work directly and manage outside counsel/vendors (scoping, feeding inputs, checking quality, and meeting deadlines).
  • •Working fluency in the federal compliance framework (FECA/FEC, LDA/HLOGA, House and Senate gift rules) and understanding state/local variation.
  • •Strong project management and cross-functional execution with Policy/Government Affairs, Legal, Finance, and executive stakeholders, with clear business-usable writing and sound judgment/discretion.
