Job Summary

Senior technical development lead within Hermès’ CATE ceramic division, overseeing the development and industrialization of ceramic projects from design to production. Manages the Development Tech team, coordinates cross-functional partners, ensures quality, cost and schedule targets, and drives continuous improvement and innovation in luxury ceramic collections.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop the Développement Technique team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
•Organize and coordinate the service activity according to project priorities and capacity, and monitor milestones.
•Pilot technical developments in collaboration with CATE and BEYRAND industrial teams and ensure feasibility from prototyping to industrialization.
•Provide technical support to Production, Industrialization and Quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
•Ensure technological vigilance and maintain high standards of excellence, while ensuring HSE compliance and regulatory requirements.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Minimum 10 years of experience in technical development, industrialization or project management within ceramics, materials, luxury goods or arts métiers; proven leadership experience.
•Technical formation or engineering degree (Master/Bac+5).
•Strong knowledge of mechanics and materials (metals, ceramics such as glass and porcelain) and production processes.
•Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (PDCA, 8D, QRQC, etc.) and regulatory/environmental considerations (HSE).
•Ability to manage and develop technical teams, coordinate cross-functional projects, and deliver on quality, cost and deadlines.
