Key Responsibilities

  • •Work within the framework set by the assigned teacher and Head of Inclusion/SENCO, supporting the named student(s) in lessons and providing feedback on learning and behaviour.
  • •Supervise and facilitate individual support aligned to IEP/pupil passport targets while ensuring safety and access to learning activities.
  • •Provide informal feedback to the named student(s) on progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.
  • •Record and share issues of concern and positive feedback about the student’s welfare and achievements with the teacher and supporting professionals.
  • •Communicate effectively with parents via emails and reports based on IEP/pupil passport targets and outcomes, maintain required documentation, and attend staff meetings and professional development days as requested.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school education in English and Math.
  • •Experience or aptitude working with students with special educational needs.
  • •Good levels of written and spoken English.
  • •Enthusiasm, commitment, and aptitude for working with students.
  • •Confidentiality and empathy, with strong teamwork skills.
