Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems using appropriate tools and test instruments.
  • •Road test vehicles and inspect/test equipment to identify malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
  • •Manage parts inventory and operate the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and other Repair Orders documentation, including uploading photos of work performed, parts used, and findings using the company’s iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or alternate combination such as additional certifications or 5 years related experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen months.
  • •Meet DOT-regulated requirements: complete and pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit DOT medical card with required validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license (with ability to maintain Driver Qualification File and complete MVR review).
