Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform at least two welding processes (FCAW, SMAW/stick, GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG) based on business needs.
  • •Fit up and weld structures or pipe spools from mild carbon steel, low alloy, stainless, aluminum, or exotics.
  • •Communicate with management/supervisors, engineering staff, and planners to achieve build efficiency and improve operations.
  • •Use fabrication math and interpret drawings/specifications to plan fitting and welding operations where procedural information is unavailable.
  • •Check work order drawings/instructions after each operation and follow safety requirements, including handling hazardous materials and working safely at height.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years of experience in at least two welding processes: FCAW, SMAW, GTAW/TIG, or GMAW/MIG (college welding program experience qualifies).
  • •5+ years of experience in one of FCAW, SMAW, GTAW/TIG, or GMAW/MIG (preferred).
  • •Knowledge of standard tools, materials, and work practices of the welding trade.
  • •Knowledge of occupational hazards and effective safety precautions; ability to rapidly change focus in a high-paced environment.
