Key Responsibilities

  • •Define refrigeration/HVAC/plant system design standards and processes for suppliers, including block flow diagrams, equipment selections, and technical reports.
  • •Lead ammonia refrigeration engineering: sizing/selecting equipment, designing control groups, performing mass/energy balance calculations.
  • •Maintain engineering standards and ensure compliance with code changes and Process Safety Management, including reviewing PSM audits and corrective solutions.
  • •Create standard designs and Capex estimates for major capital initiatives; develop scopes, cost/timeline/bid documentation, and support forbid/for-construction drawings.
  • •Lead cross-functional reviews and technical peer reviews to set standard process flows for major projects, provide operational/compliance support, and implement KPIs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field/experience).
  • •5-8 years of manufacturing experience with ability to implement ammonia/refrigeration designs and new technologies.
  • •In-depth understanding of ammonia refrigeration systems, HVACR design, and facility mechanical systems (e.g., water/steam/pumps/blowers/compressed air).
  • •Strong knowledge of industry standards and guidelines such as ASME BPE, ISPE Baseline Guides, USP, EU GMP, ISO, and CFRs.
  • •Experience developing scopes of work and leading cross-functional teams, with strong communication and mentoring ability.
