Job Summary

Commercial Director to define, govern, and deliver Wood’s commercial strategy across business development, tendering, contract execution, and close out in Oil & Gas/EPC environments. Lead risk management, EPC/ EPCM contracts, and global teams to maximize value, ensure compliance, and drive growth across Wood’s services.

Key Responsibilities

•Define, govern, and deliver the Company’s commercial strategy across business development, tendering, contract execution, and close out, ensuring value creation while managing risk and compliance.
•Maximize commercial performance while managing business/project risk and promoting safety leadership behaviors.
•Lead the risk management process, including identification, mitigation, and oversight of post‑award commercial risk registers, and manage EPC claims, variations, and contractual entitlements.
•Oversee tender governance, capture strategies, and end‑to‑end proposal development to support growth and market competitiveness.
•Develop and lead teams with cross‑functional expertise to support the assigned business and ensure resourcing of competent commercial personnel.

Key Requirements

•Degree required in one of Law, Quantity Surveying, or a Business Degree
•12+ years’ experience in a similar role with 10+ years of leadership/management experience
•Comprehensive understanding of risks inherent in Engineering & Construction contracts
•Demonstrated senior commercial experience on EPC projects, including leadership in Fixed Budget Contracting (FBC), management of lump sum and risk bearing contracts, and hands on delivery of claims, variations, and final accounts throughout the project lifecycle
•Experience in managing a global team
