Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver hydrogeological characterization work for mine development, operations/closure, water supply, contaminated site assessment, remediation, civil infrastructure, and waste management.
  • •Design and execute hydrogeological investigations including ground disturbance planning, drilling, logging, and sampling of soil, rock core, groundwater, surface water, and vapour.
  • •Complete well design, installation, and aquifer testing, and oversee multidisciplinary field investigations.
  • •Develop 3D geological models and numerical groundwater models using tools such as MODFLOW/FEFLOW and integrated groundwater-surface water models.
  • •Prepare technical reports for regulatory compliance and participate in project management, staffing, budgets, schedules, and client/regulator liaison.

Key Requirements

  • •B.Sc. in Hydrogeology, Geology, or related engineering with a focus on groundwater and hydrogeology and at least 8 years of environmental consulting experience.
  • •Currently registered or immediately eligible to register as a Professional Geoscientist or Engineer with EGM, APEGS or APEGA.
  • •Over 8 years investigating, analyzing, and managing soil, groundwater, and surface water to meet regulatory requirements.
  • •Experience in mining or mine closure/remediation.
  • •Strong English communication skills and willingness to travel for site visits and field investigations.
