Join TRM Labs as a Senior Legal Counsel supporting a fast-growing global business. You will provide legal, operational, and strategic guidance to Blockchain Intelligence teams, handle litigation and regulatory matters across markets, assist with data collection practices, subpoenas and testimony, and advise on product, privacy, AI-related issues, employment, and governance in a high-velocity startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide legal, operational, and strategic advice to our cutting-edge Blockchain Intelligence teams, including with respect to data collection methods and practices.
•Advise and support our global Law Enforcement Relations team with respect to subpoenas, expert witness testimony, and other projects.
•Provide litigation and regulatory support across the global enterprise, including advising on evidentiary issues, product issues, AI, sales, privacy, and employment.
•Assist on other legal matters impacting the Company as necessary.

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school, with active bar membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar.
•At least 6-8 years’ prior experience working in a government agency, at a reputable law firm, or in-house.
•Experience handling litigation and regulatory matters, including advising non-attorney clients on compliance with fast-moving global legal requirements, engaging with law enforcement and government actors around the world, and mitigating/resolving potential disputes.
•Experience with criminal and civil law matters, including advising non-attorney clients on compliance with applicable laws and on-the-ground operational matters.
•Effective communicator, able to own and manage cross-functional projects, willing to learn, and humble, with a sense of humor.
