Job Summary

Provide independent Second Line oversight of technology risk by challenging architecture, engineering, and operational decisions to ensure security and resilience risks are identified, managed, and mitigated. Partner with CTOs, EVP/SVP program leaders, and First Line technology, engineering, and architecture teams to embed “shift-left” security and resiliency into products and platforms. Lead incident evaluation with strong root-cause rigor, improve risk management using engineering and process engineering, and strengthen enterprise risk culture using recognized control frameworks.

•Influence senior technology and program priorities by engaging directly with CTOs and EVP/SVP-level leaders and shaping technology and risk outcomes.
•Evaluate technology and operational incidents with focus on response effectiveness, root cause rigor, and durability of corrective actions.
•Apply governance, risk, and compliance thinking to assess risks in business and technology decisions and drive initiatives from problem definition through execution.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 138,000 - 221,000

Key Requirements

•Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, deliverables, and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
•Experience with cloud-native architectures and patterns for scalable, resilient distributed systems.
•Strong technical foundation connecting architectural, operational, and engineering decisions to business and risk outcomes.
•Demonstrated ITSM experience leading incident investigations, change impact analysis, and problem management (root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, corrective actions).
•Knowledge of enterprise risk and control frameworks, including ISO, NIST CSF, COBIT, CRI, FAIR, or similar; and a degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
