Job Summary

Lead and manage multiple internally and externally funded R&D programs for emerging technologies serving U.S. Department of Defense customers. Coordinate pursuit and proposal activities within the science and technology community, build and maintain technology development roadmaps and transition plans, and direct strategy for cross-cutting aerospace systems technology. Account for contractual commitments across cost, schedule, and technical performance, conduct EVMS/PMR/IRAD reviews, support strategic planning, and brief senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage multiple external program efforts and internally funded technology efforts simultaneously.
•Lead cross-functional program teams across disciplines and locations, coordinating development work and transition plans for new technologies.
•Direct business strategy and vision for the Cross-Cutting Technology (Aerospace Systems Technology) area and coordinate development across program management teams.
•Define and prioritize externally funded pursuits and IRAD-funded efforts in collaboration with business development and engineering.
•Ensure contractual commitments are met for assigned programs, including financial, technical, and schedule performance, and perform EACs, PMRs, and IRAD reviews with senior leadership briefings.

Key Requirements

•University degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 7 years of experience.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
•U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for a security clearance.
•Demonstrated experience managing and executing complex projects or programs with responsibility for cost, schedule, technical performance, and delivery commitments.
•Experience applying Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and risk and opportunity management practices to monitor and manage program performance.
