Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance, including creating and implementing safety SOPs and monitoring training and documentation.
  • •Forecast, budget, direct, coordinate, plan, and monitor production for multiple recycling departments to achieve safe, quality, efficient operations.
  • •Oversee inventory levels and accuracy, including commodity quality/shrink testing and coordination to address off-grade/off-spec materials.
  • •Plan and oversee equipment and maintenance scheduling for major projects in coordination with Maintenance and Plant Managers.
  • •Supervise multiple employees across cost centers and maintain port facility security, including oversight of outside security contractors as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •5-10 years manufacturing experience, including 2-5 years managerial experience and prior experience leading a work crew.
  • •Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • •Ability to communicate professionally and analyze production metrics; experience managing a departmental budget and capital expenditures with ROI measurement.
  • •Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook; continuous improvement experience with documented success (maintenance and shiploading background preferred; union environment experience a plus).
