Mobile Diesel Technician II performs DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting. Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems, including diesel and gas engines and transmissions.
•Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
•Manage parts inventory and maintain the company-issued service truck and tools; document all findings and parts used on Repair Orders using TRAIT/iOS device.
•Communicate with management and customers to assess needs, provide updates, obtain approvals, and ensure safety and compliance per OSHA/EPA/DOT policies.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or equivalent).
•Possess and provide a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
•Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
•This position requires DOT/FMCSA compliance and the ability to pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
•Valid state driver’s license and safe driving record; ability to obtain/maintain Driver Qualification File.
