Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Environmental team to deliver targets safely and in line with the Annual Mine Plan.
  • •Participate in monitoring, analysis, and reporting for land, vegetation, cultural heritage, water, and waste programs.
  • •Support the development and implementation of Environmental Management plans and systems to improve site environmental performance.
  • •Inform and educate management, supervisors, and employees about the EMS to build awareness and compliance.
  • •Manage routine onsite monitoring and compliance with license conditions, including advice to operations and delivery of statutory reports and plans.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualifications in an environmental discipline or a related degree are required.
  • •Knowledge of environmental issues relevant to the coal mining industry is highly regarded.
  • •Experience using ArcGIS (Pro) or similar mapping software.
  • •Familiarity with risk management processes and controls.
  • •Experience understanding, interpreting, and analysing relevant environmental data.
