Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide top-notch in-house legal services to APJ clients across EDA, semiconductor IP, and systems solutions businesses.
  • •Draft, review, and negotiate licensing, sales, services, development, procurement, and related technology transaction agreements.
  • •Advise on legal and regulatory risk management for employment, corporate, finance, marketing, and procurement activities and related third-party contracts.
  • •Support export control matters by liaising with the global trade compliance team and maintaining local export compliance programs.
  • •Implement and maintain local governance compliance programs, including training, investigations, and support for IP enforcement and license compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •LL.B./LLM/JD from a reputable law school in a Cadence APJ country/region.
  • •Bar admission in the U.S. or a Cadence APJ country/region.
  • •10-12 years PQE with experience in MNC companies and/or international law firms.
  • •Proven track record with technology transaction and/or IP licensing experience.
  • •Fluency in Japanese; excellent command of English.
