Key Responsibilities

  • •Own full-cycle US payroll processing for all US entities, including multi-state, multi-frequency, exempt and non-exempt populations.
  • •Process complex equity compensation (RSUs, ISOs, NSOs) with accurate tax withholding and timely reporting.
  • •Oversee quarter-end (W-2 preparation) and year-end reconciliations, including resolution of federal and state tax notices.
  • •Oversee Canada payroll operations with CRA compliance (T4s, Records of Employment) and develop Canada payroll SOPs.
  • •Manage and develop 1–2 direct reports on the US payroll team and serve as escalation point for complex payroll issues.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of payroll experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or manager-level role owning US multi-state payroll end-to-end.
  • •CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification.
  • •Direct people management experience, managing at least one FTE.
  • •Strong Workday experience (payroll module preferred; HCM with direct payroll involvement considered).
  • •Deep familiarity with equity compensation processing (RSUs, ISOs, NSOs) and related federal/state tax implications.
