Key Responsibilities

  • •Translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation, including inspection planning and structural assembly instructions.
  • •Develop and improve manufacturing processes through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team.
  • •Support process improvements by using data analysis, best practices, and innovative solutions to improve process capability and reduce cost.
  • •Perform process development for new product introductions and support continuous improvement initiatives with standard methodologies.
  • •Review inspection and SPC data, troubleshoot defects with Quality and Operations, and execute Root Cause/Corrective Action plans using CORE/6-sigma methods.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • •Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, hardware installation, and structural assembly techniques.
  • •Experience interpreting engineering drawings, including ASME Y14.5 GD&T and relevant government/industry specifications.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • •Experience creating manufacturing processes for complex large aluminum structural assemblies and hands-on mechanical aptitude (preferred).
