Operate and inspect sheet metal parts and assemblies for experimental, development, and production use. Set up and run CNC and manual equipment, read engineering prints, perform precision measurements, and coordinate with engineering and quality teams to ensure accurate fabrication and inspection of complex parts on the 2nd shift in Andover, MA.

Key Responsibilities

•Set up, lays out, fabricates, constructs and assembles complex sheet metal parts with tight tolerances.
•Operates CNC and manually controlled equipment; uses tooling, fixtures and templates as required.
•Performs intricate bench work (filing, grinding, buffing) to fit parts and achieve required finish.
•Maintains records and follows safety rules; communicates with cross-functional teams to address issues.
•Interprets engineering drawings, prints, video and computer instructions to complete tasks.

Key Requirements

•High School diploma or equivalent.
•Over 1 year and up to 2 years trades training in sheet metal work.
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sheet metal fabrication.
•Ability to read engineering sketches, prints, and use precision measuring equipment.
•Experience with CNC and manually controlled sheet metal machinery and related tools.
