Job Summary

Lead the planning, design, and delivery of coastal engineering projects across the Middle East, acting as a technical lead with oversight, governance, and mentorship. Manage multidisciplinary project teams while reviewing engineering outputs and ensuring compliance with standards and best practice. Oversee work spanning coastal protection structures, dredging and navigation facilities, and environmental assessments. Partner with clients to maintain relationships, support bids, and help grow WSP’s coastal engineering service line.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
•Oversee planning, design, and delivery of coastal engineering projects including revetments, breakwaters, dredging, reclamation, coastal modelling, and beach works.
•Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver on time and within budget.
•Provide technical expertise and review engineering outputs, calculations, and coastal models as needed.
•Develop and maintain client relationships; support business development, bids, and strategic planning for coastal engineering services.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, preferably with a specialization in coastal engineering.
•Master’s degree in coastal engineering, maritime engineering, or a related field is desirable.
•Minimum of 7 years’ experience in coastal engineering and project management with a proven delivery track record.
•Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), Dubai Municipality (port/marine) registration, or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
•Working knowledge of international coastal/maritime design standards and guidelines, including CIRIA Rock Manual, Eurotop, and PIANC.
