Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs to keep the fleet safe and operating efficiently, including troubleshooting mechanical failures.
  • •Maintain and repair vehicles and trailers across systems such as sheet metal, frames, suspensions, electrical, ignition, fuel, steering, hydraulic, and braking systems.
  • •Diagnose problems, test repairs, and complete preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
  • •Record time and parts used, follow safety/housekeeping practices, and comply with company policies and environmental procedures.
  • •Assist and train other mechanics as required, and report environmental or safety issues to supervisors.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years of direct diesel mechanic experience.
  • •Advanced knowledge of a vehicle electrical system and diesel engine mechanisms.
  • •Ability to run diagnostic tests, test drive vehicles to gauge performance, and maintain detailed service records.
  • •Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL-A preferred.
  • •Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
