Job Summary

Own end-to-end credit application work by analyzing financial statements, projections/modeling, and market intelligence to support lending decisions. Key Responsibilities

•Own the end-to-end credit application process using analysis of financial statements, projections/modeling, industry/competitor research, and market intelligence.
•Partner with Relationship Managers to understand transaction structures and lending purposes and support structuring credit solutions.
•Assess and mitigate risk by ensuring proposals align with internal credit policies, guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements, and recommending risk mitigants.
•Manage and monitor a portfolio by tracking covenant compliance and terms, monitoring credit quality trends, and supporting proactive credit management actions.
•Collaborate across HSBC (e.g., Wholesale Credit Risks, product teams, and enabling functions) and drive process excellence through workflow and efficiency improvements.

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related discipline (exceptional Bachelor’s candidates may be considered).
•Typically 1–6 years of experience in credit analysis, wholesale lending, or relevant corporate finance; outstanding fresh graduates may be considered.
•Strong grounding in accounting, financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, credit assessment, and risk identification/mitigation, with ability to distil key issues from large volumes of information.
•Excellent written and verbal English, including ability to produce high-quality credit papers in English, plus strong stakeholder management and collaboration.
•Strong prioritisation and time management skills to manage multiple deliverables with attention to detail; proficiency in Excel and Word.
