Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate commercial trucks safely, including transporting fragile loads.
  • •Perform pre-trip inspections and equipment inspections in accordance with company guidelines and CSA 2010, reporting problems to the supervisor.
  • •Load and unload chicks and eggs; operate forklift loading trucks at contract growers safely and efficiently.
  • •Ensure fans and ventilation are working properly and follow tarping guidelines during inclement weather.
  • •Pick up eggs on a consistent weekly schedule and ensure the truck is unloaded, washed, and disinfected by end of each day while enforcing safety, quality, and food safety policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Class A driver’s license is required.
  • •Minimum 3 years driving experience with a good driving record (and also must possess a valid Class A license with 0–12 months experience).
  • •Knowledge of driving and traffic rules and some mechanical skill.
  • •Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work under dusty adverse conditions.
  • •Ability to follow safety procedures and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, climbing, and repetitive work.
