Job Summary

Structure and execute Asset Based Lending (ABL) transactions for HSBC’s Global Trade Solutions (GTS) Structured Trade team in the UK. Partner with GTS sales and senior stakeholders to drive origination, support client pitches, and lead deal execution. Prepare and negotiate customer-facing documents and indicative term sheets, deliver detailed financial benefit analysis, and conduct ongoing ABL market trend and competitive analysis to grow the UK ABL proposition.

Key Responsibilities

•Support promotion of ABL in GTS to senior stakeholders across Global CIB, CMB Large Corporate, Mid-Market Enterprise and Leveraged businesses to drive origination and RFP requests.
•Support GTS sales with origination of ABL transactions and lead deal execution via client planning, customer pitches and deal discussions.
•Build and refine the GTS UK ABL proposition by analyzing growth strategy across customer segments and sectors to address market opportunities.
•Lead preparation and negotiation of customer-facing documents and indicative term sheets, ensuring accuracy and considering operational and regulatory impacts.
•Provide detailed financial benefit analysis and ongoing ABL market trend/competitive analysis; act as an information conduit between sales, operations and product and liaise with legal panel firms.

•Demonstrable track record of deal structuring and execution in the UK ABL market, with a proactive approach to finding new lending opportunities.
•Strong knowledge of ABL solutions and structures across a range of corporate sectors and geographies, including familiarity with other Structured Trade solutions such as Non-Recourse RF.
•Detailed understanding of ABL legal and facility documentation, including experience instructing/reviewing valuation reports and other ABL due diligence materials.
•Thorough understanding of working capital management impacts for corporate customers, with ability to share insights with stakeholders for potential cross-sell across cash management, treasury, and trade solutions.
•Financial and analytical skills to identify problem statements and present ABL/other financing solutions effectively.
