Job Summary

Perform bush and honing mechanical repair work for aircraft programs by installing bushings, bearings, sleeves, and metal shims, operating honing and related machining equipment, and completing close-tolerance inspections. Ensure parts meet CMM specifications, perform final inspection and stocking, and train teammates on required departmental processes. This safety-sensitive role operates 100% onsite in Opa Locka, FL on 2nd shift with training on 1st shift.

Key Responsibilities

•Install bushings, bearings, sleeves, and metal shims on aircraft programs using machinery and hydraulic presses per overhaul manuals.
•Operate honing machinery and devices, including mill machinery for swaging of bearings.
•Use close tolerance measuring instruments to assure compliance with CMM specifications.
•Perform final inspection and stocking of bushings.
•Train employees on required processes and lead department operations in the absence of the Group Leader when required.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
•Ability to interpret blueprints.

•Ability to perform bush bore functions using light machining (lathe/bush work).
