Job Summary

Serve as a SME for Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN for a NIH-CIT proposal. Coordinate with the section manager to evaluate, design, test, and transition roadmap-based network architectures and services to Operations and Security. Plan and engineer improvements to NIH network and TIC services, including installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, change management, security architecture collaboration, and maintaining technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlog.
•Provide SME expertise in Site-to-Site VPN and Remote Access VPN.
•Lead the transition of user-accepted designs and services to Operations and Security Teams.
•Architect, design, engineer, implement, modernize, and enhance NIH network and TIC services in line with NIH future-state objectives.
•Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, change management, and maintain technical architecture documentation while partnering with Security for security architecture requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 149,027 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline and at least one Cisco CCIE certification (written and practical).
•Cisco CCIE specializations: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless.
•8+ years of experience in Network Services.
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
