Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out research and analysis for planning policy projects and assist with policy elements including local authority policy and strategy development.
  • •Support local plan evidence studies, strategic growth studies, infrastructure strategies, and other planning policy and strategy commissions.
  • •Formulate strategic planning advice to client and internal teams and share technical knowledge and expertise.
  • •Represent the organization by developing and managing relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, including attendance at conferences and networking events.
  • •Assist project managers to deliver projects on budget and within programme timelines, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and uphold quality assurance and health & safety principles.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant experience contributing to planning policy and strategy development in a consultancy or public sector role.
  • •Client focus with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working approach.
  • •A business development mindset, ideally with experience of work winning and developing relationships with existing and new clients.
  • •Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and excellent communication skills.
  • •Degree in Town Planning (or related) and membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent, or working towards membership.
