Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive commercial negotiations and framework/master purchase agreements for long-lead power equipment, including turbines, engines, transformers, switchgear, and energy storage systems.
  • •Secure OEM manufacturing slots and capacity reservations, managing deposits, slot allocation, delivery milestones, warranties, liquidated damages, and assignment rights across regions/sites.
  • •Own the global power equipment strategy by translating the energy and site pipeline into equipment forecasts and keeping reserved/on-order/in-fabrication/allocation views current.
  • •Set global equipment plans with regional energy leads so generation strategy, interconnection timelines, and local code/grid requirements inform what is bought, when, and where.
  • •Manage lead-time risk and allocation decisions in constrained markets, monitor supply chain volatility, and execute contingency/alternative sourcing plans to avoid critical delays.

Salary: USD 320,000 - 405,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years in power equipment, grid infrastructure, or energy markets, including leading a function, team, or portfolio-scale program across OEM, utility/power-producer sourcing/development, procurement/EPC, renewables/storage, and related work.
  • •Developed processes for forecasting, planning, and procuring power generation and grid-integration equipment for data centers, utilities, IPPs, or large industrial loads.
  • •Deep familiarity with power systems equipment (gas turbines, reciprocating engines, fuel cells, GSU transformers, MV/HV switchgear, protection/substation, solar, BESS) and islanded/behind-the-meter vs grid-connected configurations.
  • •Direct experience negotiating framework, master supply, or capacity reservation agreements with major power-equipment OEMs at $100M+ scale.
  • •Experience using utility sourcing practices (framework/alliance agreements, reservation/blanket orders, standard specs, OEM qualification) to execute a programmatic equipment approach.
