Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to traction power system and traction power substation design development, including design risk mitigation and value engineering throughout all project stages.
  • •Develop electrical studies and collaborate on TPS simulations for system sizing and TPS equipment location and characteristics.
  • •Perform space-proofing design for TPS installations, including cable routing design.
  • •Produce technical reports and specifications, and liaise with BIM/CAD modellers to deliver drawings, BoQ, and other documentation for each project stage.
  • •Ensure design practices and relevant standards/norms (including CENELEC and ANSI/IEEE) are followed and defend/justify the design in design team meetings with clients or reviewers.

Key Requirements

  • •Electrical engineer with proven experience in railway traction power discipline (7 years minimum).
  • •Able to communicate and fully develop projects in English.
  • •Desirable experience in railway electrification (DC and AC), including design, construction, test & commissioning, and maintenance of electrical substations.
  • •Development of technical specifications of electrical substation equipment and electrical calculations for railway traction electrical substations.
  • •Desirable ability to design, calculate, parameterize, and test & commission electrical protections in DC and AC electric railways.
