Key Responsibilities

  • •Support acquisition of design-build turnkey and energy services contracting project work for Trane Energy Services.
  • •Develop turnkey HVAC solutions with account managers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • •Collect project data and analyze plans/specifications to compile detailed materials/labor/subcontractor/equipment cost estimates.
  • •Prepare and support RFQs (scope statements, plans, milestone dates, specs, permitting and bonding requirements) and assist with installation budgets.
  • •Provide technical support for strategic job acquisition teams, review bid documents for constructability/conflicts, and mentor junior preconstruction developers (with potential to manage a small team).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management (or equivalent) and P.E. preferred.
  • •General construction project development and/or HVAC-related work experience required.
  • •Working knowledge of construction disciplines (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and HVAC systems, electrical systems, and temperature controls.
  • •Flexibility to work outside normal hours/weekends as required, including some travel with occasional overnight stays.
  • •Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major/frequent traffic violations (e.g., DUI, hit & run, license suspension) in the prior 3 years.
