Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with software teams to validate bug fixes and assess performance impacts of new firmware revisions
  • •Validate and deploy firmware updates to the server fleet, monitoring rollout progress for compliance and reliability
  • •Work with server and component vendors to obtain, debug, and maintain the latest updates
  • •Triaging and supporting hardware problem resolution with Site Reliability Engineering and Data Centre Engineering teams
  • •Develop and maintain automation tools to update firmware across servers and components, and communicate updates via talks, tickets, and blog posts

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of experience in hardware systems and related responsibilities
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • •Knowledge of bash and Python for Linux task automation
  • •Knowledge of x86 server hardware (motherboards, CPUs, memory, storage) and firmware updates
  • •Knowledge of configuration management and server remote management (e.g., salt; Redfish and IPMI)
