Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems and advanced mechanical systems, including starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using tools such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory/equipment on the company service truck and maintain the truck with safety checks plus pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Mentor mobile diesel technicians, lead jobsites/customer interactions, document work and upload repair order details, and perform DOT-form documentation accurately; step in for the Mobile Technician Manager when absent.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 7 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination such as 5 years with an additional degree/certification).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications: T8 (PMI) and C1 (Service Consultant) within 18 months.
  • •Obtain 608/609 certification within 18 months.
  • •Hold a current valid DOT medical card (or be able to pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical).
  • •Have a valid driver’s license and maintain a Driver Qualification File; safe driving required.
