This role bridges bench and blueprint to improve build and serviceability at scale.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Own NPI & Dev Fleet Uptime. You are the primary service owner for all NPI and Dev-designated robots, triaging, diagnosing, and resolving downed units, often without established procedures.
•Close the Feedback Loop. Document repairs with real data (root cause, time-to-diagnose, time-to-repair, parts consumed, failure mode) and surface patterns to engineering.
•Shape How We Build for Serviceability. Participate in DFS reviews as the hands-on voice of the technician and advocate for easier diagnosis and service in future configurations.
•Validate Before It Ships. Help draft, test, and refine work instructions for new service procedures before they reach fleet or customers.
•Embed with NPI Programs. Attend NPI reviews as GSS representative, track open service issues, and drive them to closure.

Key Requirements

•Hardware Diagnostician with 3-6+ years of hands-on experience with complex electromechanical systems, preferably in robotics, aerospace, medical devices, or defense hardware.
•Ability to diagnose ambiguous failures at hardware, electrical, and systems levels without a playbook.
•Prototype-ready experience with pre-production hardware and rapidly changing configurations.
•Data-driven communicator who writes repair notes and surfaces failure patterns for engineers.
•Fluent in reading schematics and CAD views; familiarity with ROS/ROS2, embedded systems, and hardware design processes is a plus.
