Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership, governance, and assurance across the Mechanical Building Services discipline for the Rail business.
  • •Act as technical authority, ensuring quality and consistency of technical outputs and delivery of safety leadership (Safe by Design, CDM, CSM compliance).
  • •Lead technical input for complex/high-profile projects and champion decarbonisation, net-zero, and whole-life carbon approaches.
  • •Manage compliance, quality, risk management, and application of best practice, including up-to-date understanding of design tools and industry practices.
  • •Develop technical talent and support clients, project teams, and business leadership, including bid support and market development.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a recognised professional institution.
  • •Significant experience leading, producing, reviewing, and assuring designs within Rail Mechanical Building Services.
  • •Extensive experience across feasibility, outline, and detailed design stages, with understanding of mechanical building services systems across the asset lifecycle.
  • •Detailed knowledge of Network Rail, Transport for London (TfL), and London Underground (LUL) standards, requirements, and processes.
