Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with global HRBPs and COEs to achieve people goals for assigned business units in Japan.
  • •Serve as main point of contact for escalated employee and people manager questions and concerns for Japan.
  • •Coach and enable managers on expectations, feedback, and managing employee performance.
  • •Evaluate employee complaints or concerns, make recommendations, and conduct intervention sessions as needed.
  • •Stay current on employment law and HR legislation in Japan and advise managers on risks and policy enhancements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with at least 8 years of progressive HR experience.
  • •Strong performance management, coaching, business partnership, and HR operations background.
  • •Strong communication in Japanese and English, with interpersonal skills to influence and engage others.
  • •Must have working knowledge of employment laws across Japan and ability to guide employment matters, including grievances, disputes, and investigations.
  • •Comfort handling benefits/HRSS/payroll administrative requirements and working with confidential information.
