Job Summary

Lead the monthly close to year-end for GAAP financial reporting, owning journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidations. Build and enforce scalable internal controls and technical accounting policy across revenue recognition, equity, and leases. Partner with Finance, Legal, and People on budgeting/forecasting, cap table management, and external audit. Own ERP/accounting systems and automation as transaction volume grows, while building and mentoring the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidations.
•Prepare GAAP financial statements and supporting management reporting packages.
•Design, implement, and enforce the internal control environment as the company scales.
•Set and own technical accounting policy, including positions on revenue recognition, equity, leases, and other complex GAAP matters.
•Own the external audit relationship and lead accounting systems/ERP strategy with automation and process improvements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
•10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience.
•Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and demonstrated ownership of the full close and consolidated financial statements.
•Advanced Excel skills and experience with a modern ERP/accounting system.
•Prior experience managing and developing an accounting team.
