Key Responsibilities

  • •Fabricate, maintain, modify, and repair complex prototype electrical assemblies.
  • •Interpret drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes, and specifications.
  • •Lead other technicians in layout and fitment of electrical and related mechanical/electro-mechanical/electro-optical assemblies.
  • •Adapt methods to test, analyze, and troubleshoot new hardware, including inspection and proving-in complex prototype assemblies.
  • •Lead electrical/mechanical drawing peer reviews, assess designs for producibility/maintainability/safety/reliability, and communicate build concerns for design improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • •Experience in an engineering environment testing and fabricating electrical assemblies in four or more of: cables/wire harnesses, breakout boxes, chassis/circuit card modifications, racked electronic equipment, or integration troubleshooting.
  • •Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
  • •U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for a security clearance.
