Job Summary

Own Spade’s financial foundation as its first finance hire—running FP&A, financial strategy, budgeting/forecasting, and the monthly close. Partner with the COO, CEO, and CRO to model scenarios, track runway and working capital, and support key decisions with robust analysis. Ensure GAAP-compliant accounting, implement scalable finance controls and tools, and prepare monthly/quarterly reporting for board and investors while supporting fundraising data room prep.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop budgets and forecasts, monitor budget vs. actuals, and build dashboards for key metrics.
•Own the monthly close process, partner with an accounting firm to ensure GAAP-compliant records, and manage invoices, payables, and receivables.
•Track cash runway and working capital to support financial planning.
•Partner with leadership on financial strategy and scenario planning, providing analysis for decisions on pricing, hiring, and market expansion.
•Implement finance tools/software, establish internal controls and policies, and prepare monthly/quarterly investor and board reporting including data room prep for fundraising.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170,000 - 200,000 annually

•Experience supporting fundraising (data room prep, investor diligence, financial narrative).
