Job Summary

Develop a Proof of Concept for process automation by implementing NAMUR Open Architecture to directly integrate device data into a time-series database. Key Responsibilities

•Implement NAMUR Open Architecture to connect existing field devices directly to a time-series database.
•Develop a Proof of Concept for direct device-data integration following NAMUR principles.
•Handle project components across hardware and software, including device configuration and software configuration.
•Work on efficient, cost-effective data acquisition by bypassing traditional process control system I/O structures.
•Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team and focus on hardware or software depending on your background.

Key Requirements

•Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in automation engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
•Fluent German and good English skills.
•Basic knowledge of industrial measurement technology and field devices.
•Familiarity with either hardware topics (device configuration, networking, Industrial Ethernet, APL) or software topics (configuration, OPC-UA, data interfaces, time-series databases).
•Technical interest in IT/OT integration, including time-series databases, data acquisition, and system architectures.
