Job Summary

Own ByteDance’s global network incident response and operational stability for backbone, data center, public cloud, Edge/CDN, and network gateways. Key Responsibilities

•Lead ByteDance’s global network incident response and operational stability across backbone, data center, public cloud, Edge/CDN, and network gateways.
•Support day-to-day operations of the Non-CN global network infrastructure, responding to incidents and emergencies with troubleshooting, mitigation, and service restoration.
•Work with the 24*7 NOC team as a second-line (L2) operations engineer to ensure continuous global network operations.
•Collaborate with network architecture, deployment, and software engineering teams to improve operational tooling, monitoring platforms, and automation systems.
•Coordinate with ISPs and vendors to diagnose and resolve network issues, perform post-incident root cause analysis (RCA), and drive remediation; support maintenance and change activities including checks and post-change monitoring.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
•2+ years of experience in network operations, network support, or network engineering.
•Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, and MPLS-related technologies.
•Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network incidents under pressure with timely response during critical outages.
•Fluency in English and Mandarin (high oral and written proficiency in both required).
