Job Summary

Support the onshore renewable energy team by assisting in due diligence, design, and construction for distributed generation projects (solar PV, BESS, PV+BESS). You will help with DC and LV/MV AC system design, protection and control, and provide technical reports, calculations, and coordination with senior engineers across multiple US locations.

Key Responsibilities

•With minimal supervision, collect, compile, and analyze data relating to distributed energy resource components, equipment specifications, concept/detailed/permit and construction design and review processes, and NFPA (NEC)/IEEE/NESC Standards for design work
•Design basic electrical systems through single-line/three-line diagrams, general arrangement, equipment layout, MV interconnection, grounding design and lightning protection
•Provide technical assistance on design requirements, equipment sizing and cabling, AC/DC systems and panel design, and conduit/trenching design strategies
•Support senior engineers with research and recommendations of fundamental components in design requirements and field equipment applications
•Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on engineering, design, testing, maintenance, and construction procedures and issues

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
•1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering
•Exposure to operations and project controls experience for purposes of reporting
•Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues
•Familiarity with generation interconnection planning, design, and construction management; including rehabilitation and new design
