Key Responsibilities

  • •Write Linux user-space and kernel code to enable DMA across 32-bit drivers and 64-bit virtual memory spaces using Intel/AMD IOMMU.
  • •Work on the hardware/software boundary: program networking chips for latency analysis, event counting, and near-real-time flow statistics.
  • •Implement layer 2 and layer 3 communications protocols (e.g., LLDP, 802.1x, BFD, BGP, OSPF, ISIS) and maintain forwarding state with platform-independent abstractions.
  • •Reconcile Linux kernel routing model behavior with switch forwarding state and implement a policy language for filtering and manipulating routing data.
  • •Develop configuration management services and routing protocol agents using Go and Python (YANG/OpenConfig with NETCONF/RESTCONF over gRPC/ssh/SSL), including automated testing with developer-owned harnesses.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD).
  • •Experience with one or more of: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, react.js, redux.js, node.js, plus networking, Linux embedded systems, algorithms, programming, or software development.
  • •Strong analytical skills.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative, highly technical team environment.
