Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to the design and co-design of novel quantum simulation applications for neutral-atom hardware.
  • •Collaborate with academic collaborators, clients, business partners, and other users of quantum computing.
  • •Address challenges from near-term error correction approaches in quantum simulation algorithms.
  • •Design and develop new application pipelines for areas such as quantum materials simulation, quantum chemistry, or nuclear physics.
  • •Publish research findings and work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Ph.D. degree in physics, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • •A strong background in quantum computing and/or quantum algorithms, including expertise in quantum simulation applications (condensed matter physics, quantum materials, nuclear physics or quantum chemistry).
  • •Expertise in numerical simulation techniques of many-body systems and/or quantum circuits (e.g., Pauli propagation, Clifford simulation, tensor networks such as MPS/DMRG, exact diagonalisation, sparse matrix methods, density-functional theory, coupled-cluster extensions, DMFT).
  • •Experience in using quantum circuit programming and compilation (Cirq, Qiskit, TKet, CUDA-Q).
  • •An exceptional publication record and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
