Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop optical systems from ideation through implementation, including lens design, optical packaging, prototyping, and validation.
  • •Apply engineering best practices and business standards across the optical product development lifecycle.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure optical components are manufacturable and meet performance expectations.
  • •Partner with suppliers to optimize optical designs for cost, manufacturability, and long-term production consistency.
  • •Conduct optical modeling and analysis, support NPI into production, investigate emerging optical technologies, and maintain technical documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • •At least 1 year of experience designing and developing optical products.
  • •Experience in optical system design.
  • •Knowledge of optical alignment methods, lens selection, MTF analysis, and FOV optimization.
  • •Hands-on experience with optical design software such as Code V and/or Zemax, plus CAD tools like SolidWorks.
