Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide professional, ethical emergency clinical services in accordance with delineation of privileges and credential committee recommendations.
  • •Determine emergency cases, extend rapid treatment as needed, and make quick decisions including selecting the correct consultant for additional guidance.
  • •Examine and render immediate judgment and treatment for in-patients on wards/ICU upon request; advise nursing staff and respond to remote medical advice calls.
  • •Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records, case histories, and promptly document diagnosis and treatment.
  • •Provide on-call emergency coverage and support continuous quality assurance, continuous quality improvement, and required in-service training (e.g., ACLS, BLS, CNEs, CMEs).

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country).
  • •At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
  • •Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Active and valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP) and eligibility for healthcare authority registration (e.g., Royal College / Arab Board / MS / DM / MPhil or equivalent).
