Key Responsibilities

•Monitor and advise on the regulatory requirements for fundraising activities in Australia and provide guidance on compliance and regulatory issues in the context of Blackstone’s investments, portfolio management, fundraising and Private Wealth distribution
•Advise on regulatory obligations and assist with regulatory filings for Blackstone’s Australian AFSL licensed entities and lending vehicles, including ASIC, APRA, AML and AUSTRAC reporting and FSCODA reporting
•Coordinate with local regulatory officials as required
•Keep abreast of regulatory changes in Australia and advise on impact to the business
•Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, procedures and controls; manage and coordinate compliance training; conduct testing of programs and procedures

Key Requirements

•10+ years of legal and regulatory experience, gained in a legal, compliance, or internal audit role at an investment bank, asset manager or other financial institution.
•Knowledge of the ASIC, APRA and AUSTRAC regulatory structure and key regulations
•Excellent written and spoken English language skills required
•Experience developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, procedures and controls
•Ability to liaise with local/regional regulatory officials and travel as required
