Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate mechanical works on site, ensuring HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, piping, and equipment installations are executed, tested, and commissioned per approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and safety standards. Manage subcontractors, review shop drawings and material submittals, conduct inspections, prevent MEP clashes, support testing/balancing/commissioning, and maintain documentation (ITPs, reports, as-builts, and O&M). Coordinate with project stakeholders and align execution with BIM models.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and supervise mechanical system installations (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, piping, and equipment) according to approved drawings, method statements, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
•Monitor daily site activities and progress against project timelines while managing and coordinating subcontractor activities.
•Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals; verify quantities and ensure correct materials are delivered and used.
•Conduct site inspections to verify work quality, implement quality control procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs), and identify/report non-conformities with corrective actions.
•Coordinate mechanical work with electrical and civil to avoid clashes, support testing/balancing/commissioning, support BIM coordination, and prepare daily/weekly progress reports plus inspection and commissioning documentation.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Diploma in Mechanical Technology or a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
•6+ years of experience in mechanical site execution (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, MEP, or related).
•Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation techniques, and commissioning procedures.
•Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office.
•Good communication and problem-solving skills, with strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines; excellent Arabic and English.
•In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (IEC, NEC, BS, local regulations) and mechanical calculations (duct sizing, pump head, pipe sizing).
