Key Responsibilities

  • •Design low voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400V) including UPS sources.
  • •Develop general lighting and emergency lighting systems, including lighting types and sources (including LED types).
  • •Create cable management system designs (trunking, tray, conduits) including sizing calculations and self-checking.
  • •Present electrical design onto schematic and 2D layout drawings, and model 3D MEP services using Bentley MicroStation and AECOsim (including generating 2D sections from 3D models).
  • •Work within BIM/common data environment (preferably Bentley projectwise) and supervise/verify work performed by designers/modellers and assistant engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • •8-11 years of working with electrical design.
  • •Qualifications meeting requirements for chartership with an engineering institution.
  • •Knowledge of BS7671 and BS5266, including City & Guilds Requirements for Electrical Installations (2382).
  • •Extensive rail station experience with working knowledge of Network Rail, TfL and LUL standards.
