Key Responsibilities

•Lead, coach, and grow engineering teams (or managers) to deliver engineering productivity, customer-facing features, and platform reliability improvements.
•Set technical strategy and execution plans with Reliability and Productivity, Product, and Design; prioritize work to maximize velocity, stability, and engineering efficiency.
•Own delivery and quality by defining and tracking KPIs (latency, uptime, MTTR, deployment frequency) and removing blockers to meet SLAs and goals.
•Drive architecture and engineering tradeoffs for scalability, security, cost, and observability, partnering with architects and senior engineers to evolve platform design.
•Recruit and retain engineering talent, foster engineering culture (career development, performance calibration, diversity of thought, psychological safety), and responsibly launch AI-enabled tools/features.

•8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineers or equivalent leadership experience.
•Proven track record operating large-scale, distributed cloud (SaaS) services with measurable business impact.
•Strong people leadership, including hiring, coaching, and developing managers and senior engineers while scaling teams and preserving culture.
•Experience with product partnership and roadmap planning, making tradeoffs between delivery and long-term technical health.
•Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as microservices/cloud-native architectures, observability, CI/CD, security best practices, and cost optimization.
