Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide operational oversight and strategic direction for surveying services across Scotland, leading and managing the team’s delivery.
  • •Oversee successful delivery of live surveying projects across Scotland, ensuring work is safe, efficient, and meets client requirements.
  • •Manage resource allocation across multiple projects while providing technical leadership for complex infrastructure schemes.
  • •Lead business development activities including bid management, proposal writing, client engagement, and marketing initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant technical qualification in Surveying or related discipline (Degree or HND) with significant experience in a similar role, typically 8-12 years.
  • •Membership of a recognised professional body (such as RICS or CICES) would be advantageous.
  • •Strong understanding of project management principles, commercial considerations, and health, safety & wellbeing for project delivery.
  • •Proficient operation of surveying equipment, including Total Stations, GNSS systems, and terrestrial laser scanners.
  • •Experienced in leading, managing, and mentoring junior surveyors and technical staff; strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
