Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement engineering tasks including system design, specs, and code changes, and coordinate complex release plans.
  • •Participate in daily and ad-hoc team meetings to share progress and collaborate.
  • •Join the team on-call rotation to ensure uptime of production systems.
  • •Investigate and triage customer issues escalated to the Egress team and drive resolution.
  • •Use AI-powered tools to analyze and extend codebases and introspect production systems and datasets to accelerate problem-solving.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience owning the architecture of complex, distributed, production-critical systems end to end.
  • •Programming experience in Go or Rust, with a desire to improve skills in both.
  • •Solid grasp of networking protocols in OSI Layers 3 and 4.
  • •Knowledge of HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
  • •Ability to debug issues in complex systems with strong collaboration and communication skills.
